Saffron is what makes oud approachable. On its own the wood runs heavy and a little austere; saffron lifts it, adds a dry golden edge, and turns the whole thing warmer without making it sweet. That is Six. It opens with the saffron forward — that distinctive dry, almost leathery brightness — before the oud settles underneath and holds for the rest of the evening. It is the most forgiving jar we make and the one that suits the most people, which is why it also fills two of our gift sets. Start here if you are starting anywhere.

العود بروحه ممكن يكون ثقيل وفيه شيء من الصرامة، لكن الزعفران يرفعه، ويضيف له لمسة ذهبية جافة، ويعطي الخلطة دفء أكثر من دون ما يحوّلها إلى حلاوة.

يفتتح بالزعفران بشكل واضح، بسطوعه الجاف ولمحته القريبة من الجلد، وبعدها يستقر العود تحته ويظل حاضر لباقي المساء.
