Everything in this jar costs more than everything in the others — the oil alone runs more than ten times what goes into No. 6, and it shows in the first thirty seconds. Aged oud carries it, dense and faintly animalic, with saffron threaded through the opening and rose sitting underneath rather than on top. It does not lift quickly. Give it five minutes on the coal and it fills a majlis, then stays through the evening and into the next morning, in the curtains and the cushions. Reserved for occasions that deserve it: a wedding, an Eid, a guest you want to honour properly.

العود المعتّق هو أساس الخلطة، كثيف وفيه لمحة حيوانية خفيفة، والزعفران يمر في البداية بينما الورد يستقر في العمق بدل ما يطغى على التركيبة.
ما تتفتح بسرعة. عطها خمس دقايق على الفحم، وبتملأ المجلس، ثم يظل أثرها طول المساء ويمتد لليوم الثاني في الستائر والمخدات.
